Ara Chackerian Is Transforming The Way We View Healthcare

Ara Chackerian earned his Bachelor of Arts in Marketing at Florida State University. In 2009, he was a member of Nor Luyce’s Board of Directors. In 2010, he was a member of PipelineRx’s Board of Directors and became a General Partner at Limonapa Teak. In 2016, he became the Director of TMS Health Solutions.

Ara Chackerian is well known for his healthcare work and philanthropic efforts. He has supported Limonapa Teak in Nicaragua, which is a sustainable teak farm. It is environmentally friendly and has provided residents with hundreds of jobs.

Ara Chackerian and his business partner built out-patient diagnostic radiology centers in North California. They were interested in transcranial magnetic stimulation, a device based depression treatment. They believed TMS could be psychiatric care’s third pillar, next to medication and talk therapy. Dr. Richard Bermuda had been using TMS in Sacramento for years, but it was difficult to run the group practice while still fulfilling his role as a clinician.

Ara and his business partner stepped in to build seven facilities in San Francisco and Sacramento. Ara grew up in an environment that promoted deep thinking and the creation of new ideas. He is excited about digital assisted healthcare apps like Telemedicine, which can detect changes in communication patterns through algorithms. You can visit Medium for more.

100 people per day and 45,000 per year commit suicide, but it is rarely discussed in the news or in the general public. There is a lot of misunderstanding about suicide and people are afraid to talk about it. It is still seen as a taboo subject that gives families of the victims feelings of guilt and shame. Family members feel that they should have done something, but how can they prevent it if no one wants to talk about it? Suicide effects all kinds of people, even celebrities like Anthony Bourdain who seem to have great lives. Many people who have depression or family members with depression call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Ara Chackerian believes in order to save people’s lives, suicide should be talked about and not ignored. You can visit their Facebook page for more.
