He furthered his education by joining Columbia Business School where he pursued a master’s degree in business administration and subsequently graduated in the year 1989. He was a specialized private equity investor who had vast knowledge and experience having worked with the CCMP a company which he co-founded. Stephen Murray passed on in March 2015 just a month after resigning from CCMP due what was termed as health reasons.

In 2006 Stephen founded CCMP after he decided to split from J. P Morgan chase so that they could avoid potential conflict of interest with its clients. Morgan partners while maintaining some degree of independence.

Stephen Murray was the CEO of CCMP a position he was appointed into in the year 2007 until he resigned early in 2015 citing health concerns.
