Unique Brand

EOS Development And Growth

EOS lip balms have seen so much success for what their market actually is. They have outdone chapstick and blistex, two brand that have been around forever. EOS saw it’s success in being new, fun and user friendly. The backgrounds of the founders contributed to the success of the brand being in big name packaging and startup companies.

Sanjiv Mehra and Jonathan Teller started their own startup and a great deal of the success had to do with the packaging. The bright colorful orbs are eye catching and pretty, many females who buy their cosmetics in part based on beautiful packaging were drawn to the product. What they found inside was a lightly flavored and natural lip balm. The natural ingredients meant they could be used multiple times per day and the spherical shape of the balm meant easy application without putting their fingers in a sticky or greasy pot of balm. The next step for the duo after their product took off after the interest of a female buyer at Walgreens was to invest in their machinery so they could produce as much or as little of their product as they needed without having to rely on an outside manufacturer. They attended trade shows and networked to find a company who could develop their specialized machines. This has contributed to their ability to grow quickly by supplying a lot of product and to have the ability to release new product in different flavors and colors every season to keep their customers satisfied. They have even expanded to body lotions and shaving creams as they specialize in great smelling emollient products that are all natural. The success of the company means they intend to expand their product offerings in the near future, and we can’t wait!
