Helane Morrison in enforcing compliance in the Corporate World

Helane Morrison is the Chief Compliance Officer of one of the biggest advisory organization in San Francisco, Hall Capital Partners LLC and furthermore a member of the organization’s Executive Committee. I know many people had lost trust in the financial sector as a result of the economic crash in 2008 and people started placing their finances in their hands. After the phase ended, Hall Capital Partners has taken the obligation of rescuing the public via enforcing integrity, accountability and regulatory compliance on every other dealing.

I believe Morrison is one decisive, sharp, firm and dedicated lady who has made an awesome impression in the consistence field. Morrison demands that each investment they make for their customer is strong and moral. Hall’s group of experts guarantees that each business firm, monetary counselor or mutual fund consultants that the firm picks ought to go through thorough investigation before being entrusted with people’s money. Morrison has a group of enforcement staff and if any issue is suspected, the group authorizes disciplinary activity which includes amendment practices to pressing criminal accusations.

Before she joined Hall Capital in 2007, Morrison was heading (“SEC”) the San Francisco Office of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from 1999 to 2007. I think it is during this time she started having enough experience in the field. Her work entailed security enforcement, regulatory compliance and litigation matters in Northern California and five Northwest States when she was the Regional Director. Morrison was a representative of the SEC in lawful issues, business relations and monetary groups and government offices. Amid her time in SEC, she handled fraud cases that entailed key executives from firms like Google, HBO, Hewlett-Packard, and NextCard Inc. Likewise she uncovered the deceptive trading of false securities in the insurance firm American Amicable to more than 50,000 military personnel.

Before joining SEC, Helane specialized in legal matters at Howard, Rice, Rabkin, Nemerovski, Canady, and Falk from 1986-1996 where she was elevated to become a partner in 1991. Her work included internal corporate investigations, defense of private securities, and SEC matters. Prior she was a law agent to Harry A. Blackmun and before this at Hon. Richard Posner of the U.S. Court of Appeals.

Ms. Helane Morrison is a regular speaker on issues on lawful matters and compliance emerging from investment advisories. She is also a board member to American Bar Association. She finished her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism at Northwestern University, Illinois before proceeding on further studies at the University Of California Berkeley School Of Law. Today I admire her character and commitment being a visionary lady like any other.
